Megan Abbott

Megan Abbott is the Edgar-winning author of the novels, Queenpin, The Song Is You and Die a Little. Her stories have appeared in Damn Near Dead: An Anthology of Geezer Noir (2006), Wall Street Noir (2007), Detroit Noir (2007), Storyglossia and Queens Noir (2007). Her nonfiction book, The Street Was Mine: White Masculinity in Hardboiled Fiction and Film Noir, was published in 2003. She is also the editor of the Edgar-nominated A Hell of a Woman: An Anthology of Female Noir, featuring original tales by 25 mystery and crime authors.

Born in the Detroit area, she graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in English Literature and went on to receive her Ph.D. in English and American literature from New York University. She lives in Queens, New York City.
